GRX10 – Robust and full of character for handbuilding and the Raku technique

The GRX10 is a grogged, colored stoneware clay with coarse grog (approx. 40%, 0-1 mm), making it especially suitable for handbuilding, slab techniques, object ceramics, and architectural ceramics. Despite the grog content, it remains malleable and easy to shape, which allows for versatile processing.

Its high iron oxide content ensures vibrant, interesting glazing effects. Especially in reduction firings, the GRX10 develops fascinating metallic-black surfaces, while glazes interact intensely with the clay.

This clay is also perfect for the Raku technique due to its coarse structure. The unglazed surface takes on a unique, crusty-metallic appearance, and even large works can be excellently treated using the Raku technique.

Benefits of the GRX10:

  • Coarse grog (approx. 40%, 0-1 mm) for high stability
  • Especially suitable for handbuilding, slab techniques, object ceramics and architectural ceramics
  • Vibrant glazing effects due to high iron oxide content
  • Fascinating metallic-black surfaces in reduction firings
  • Excellent for Raku and large-scale works

The GRX10 allows you to create impressive ceramic works with a unique character – perfect for creative and experimental applications.
