GRM – Dark brown stoneware clay with a fine structure

The fine-grained and almost grog-free stoneware clay GRM impresses with excellent workability. Its very small and fine grain portion makes it especially suitable for throwing at the potter’s wheel. This clay is also perfect for handbuilding, slab techniques or the modelling of figures.

In stoneware firings the GRM develops its characteristic dark beige firing color, which gives it a warm, natural charm. Another benefit: the iron oxide in this clay creates exciting interaction with the glazing. Even in an oxidation firing, it produces glaze effects that resemble a reduction firing – perfect for expressive surfaces and unique individual pieces.
