GECH30F – Coarsely grogged stoneware clay with yellow-beige firing color

The GECH30F is the finely grogged variant of the proven GECH30. With 40% grog content (grains 0–0.5 mm) gives this clay a perfect balance between stability and moldability. It is ideal for handbuilding, slab techniques, smaller objects, and sculptural design and has a pleasant texture and good workability.

In stoneware firings, the GECH30F develops a natural, yellow-beige firing color with a warm appearance. Additionally, the high iron oxide content ensures vibrant and exciting glazing effects, which develop both in oxidation and reduction firings.

Especially in reduction firings, the clay shows a fascinating reddish-yellow-brown color nuance and intense interaction between the glazing and the body. The GECH30F also proves its versatility in Raku firing: the surface takes on a raw, crusty texture in direct flames – perfect for creative experiments and expressive unique pieces.

Benefits of the GECH30F:

  • Fine grog (40% 0 – 0,5 mm) for good durability and pleasant moldability
  • ideal for handbuilding, slab techniques, and sculptural design
  • Natural yellow-beige firing color in stoneware firing
  • Vibrant glazing effects due to high iron oxide content
  • Reddish yellow-brown tones in reduction firings
  • Also suitable for the Raku technique

The GECH30F creates the perfect connection between creative freedom, stable workability, and exciting surface effects – a versatile stoneware clay for ambitious ceramic artists.
