Description
Dolaflux B11 is a grey powder, chemically a huminate - silicate preparation. It is used for the liquefaction of many raw materials and bodies. It reacts particularly well to earthenware, stoneware and porcelain bodies.
Application
The required addition rate is between 0.1 and 0.5 %, based on the weight of the casting slip powder. It is water-soluble and colours the mixing water to a brownish solution. Casting slurry liquefied with Dolaflux B11 therefore leads to a brownish colouring of the plaster moulds. This does not affect the casting process.
Caution
Dolaflux B11 is hygroscopic. It may form lumps during prolonged storage. This does not impair its effect. Dolaflux B11 irritates eyes, respiratory organs and skin. In case of eye or skin contact, wash immediately with plenty of water. Do not inhale dust.
