Our CT115 is best suited to produce fondue pans, cookware and ovenware. The CT115 is used where high thermal shock resistance is required. Furthermore, this clay is also suitable for raku. CT115 is a very fine sandy, plastic clay. It is very well suited for turning, for screwing in as well as for the bead and slab technique.

Processing: When modeling cookware, make sure that the shear thickness is uniform and the shapes are rather round. This will help you achieve good flame resistance.
Firing: In order to give the body enough strength, we recommend firing the raw firing at 1040 - 1080°C. The glaze firing should be done at 1020 - 1080°C depending on the glaze.
Glazing: All common base and colored glazes from the low-temperature range that form a very fine hairline crack network on the CT 115 can be used, e.g. 82.212 transparent gloss, lead-free, or the raku glaze 81.115 zircon white gloss, lead-free. Glazes that merely produce a coarse hairline crack network are not suitable. Glaze thinly.
