Pottery clay with leucophyllite – Improved durability and a smaller risk of cracking
This clay is based on our trusted Einsiedler pottery clay and is refined with the addition of 12% leucophyllite. The thinning effect of leucophyllite increases the durability when throwing and makes it easy to dry the clay.
Additionally, the smaller moisture expansion reduces the risk that glazes crack – making it perfect for demanding ceramic works. Just like the base clay, this variant also convinces through excellent plasticity and versatility.
An optical highlight: After the raw firing, the fine silvery shimmering leucophyllite flakes are subtly visible, adding a special touch to your work.
