Description
The Bodmer K134 is made from the Bodmer pottery clay K144 by adding big grog grains. It is well suited for modeling, plate work and reliefs. The firing color of this Manganese clay appears at temperatures ranging from 1020-1100 ° C. The hotter the clay is burned, the darker is its burning color.
Bodmer slips can also be applied to the leather-hard clay. Especially with bright slips or glazes very nice effects can be achieved.
Note: Manganese clays are similar in fire behavior to stoneware clays. The burning leads to a slight softening of the buiscuit. Therefore, all objects must rest with their entire base area on the oven plate.
