Dark pottery clay with grog K127 – Stable, versatile, and expressional
The Bodmer K127 combines the unique coloring of the pottery clay K144 with the stability of fine grog. The addition of small grog grains makes this clay ideal for throwing, sculpting, slab works, reliefs, and many other pottery techniques.
Thanks to the fine grog, this clay impresses with its excellent firmness and processability, even with demanding projects. The clay develops its characteristic, dark brown to black firing color in a firing range between 1020 and 1100 °C, becoming more intense as the temperature rises.
Advantages of the K127 pottery clay with grog:
Important note: As with other manganese clay, the K127 also slightly softens the ceramic body when firing. Therefore, all objects should lie completely on the insert plate to prevent deformation.
The K127 combines stability and aesthetic depth – the perfect choice for demanding ceramic works.
